DESIGNING A DREAM

Frank came to me with a simple request: a new identity. Naturally, I asked some standard questions.

 

Me: "So what do you do?"

Frank: "As a web developer, I design dreams."

Me: "Huh. Like a digital dream designer?"

 

Cue wide-eyed, awe-filled aha! moment.

PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER

As Frank was busy registering the domain, my brain was whirring. ​I knew almost immediately that I wanted to merge the wistfulness of a dream (via clouds) with the mechanics of web development (see: cogs). From tons of trial and the ashes of gritted teeth came this realized idea.

BUSINESS CARDS MAKE IT REAL

To top off the project, Frank needed a batch of business cards to get ready for a conference he was headed to. I separated out some of the key elements and scaled them up for an ethereal feel, creating a dynamic card with a splash of color.
